Whatever your level of knowledge, ability or fascination for birds of prey, there is
something for everyone. From owl lovers and bird enthusiasts, to those who are looking
for the chance to see these magnificent birds in action.
Whether you are treating yourself, or buying a gift for a friend or loved one, you’ll have a
great time with us at Imperial. Our team of staff will guide you through an exciting day of
hands on experience with our birds ranging from owls, to vultures and eagles! Our
informative days will allow you to witness different aspects of bird handling, flight, habitat
and husbandry, making sure that your day will be an experience you’ll never forget.
How to purchase and book an experience:
All of our experiences can be purchased as gift vouchers online and our vouchers are valid
for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Once you have purchased your voucher you will
then be able to book a date for your experience.
This can be done via email or telephone.
All of our experiences must be booked in advance.
If you wish to secure a particular date, please make sure to contact our offices before purchasing your voucher, to check our availabilities. At certain times of the year our experiences book up quickly, especially weekends, so make sure to book in as far as advance as possible to avoid disappointment.

All of our experience days are weather permitting and Imperial reserve the right to cancel experience days if the weather conditions are unsuitable for flying.
We pride ourselves on our amazing experience days, the only thing we can’t control is the weather! If the weather is looking bad on the day, we will call you on the contact number provided to us. (This could be as early as 9am on the day of your experience so please keep your phones on!)
If you are worried about your experience day not going ahead as planned, you can always call us on the office phone and someone will be happy to speak with you. If your day is cancelled due to weather, we will re-book you onto the earliest convenient slot, this can be whenever is best for you.
Please remember that weekends are always best booked as far in advance as possible!
Please make sure you read the age limits before purchasing any experience days.
If more then 15 minutes late for the scheduled booking you will not be able to complete you experience that day, additionally if the correct paperwork is not shown on the day of the booking, it will also result in the experience being re-scheduled.
We ask that all participants please let us know in advance if there are any medical conditions or disabilities that we may need to be aware of. (Barleylands has full disabled access and we can accommodate for most medical conditions on our experience days). We will always have client safety in mind during all activities.
At busy times of the year availability may be limited! So make sure to book your experience day with plenty of time to spare (especially if on a weekend or school holidays).
In the event of being unable to redeem your voucher prior to its expiration, extensions may be given at our discretion. In the event of an extension, an extension fee will be required. This will be £10 per month after the initial expiration of your voucher, for a maximum of five months. Please ensure you leave a suitable amount of time between booking your voucher and the date of your vouchers expiration time.
Refunds will not be available 3 months after the purchase of the experience day.
If as a result of weather, government restrictions, or events out of our control, you are unable to use your experience day voucher, a re-fund will not be given but a free extension applied if applicable.
If a seasonal experience day is purchased but not booked before the expiry date, a refund will not be given but the amount of the voucher will be put towards a different experience.
